The Strategic Wellbeing Plan

Our core values are designed to ensure that students not only fulfil their dream of flight but are able to do so in a safe and constructive environment where they can grow as individuals.

Our Strategic Wellbeing Plan was developed with this in mind. We want to see students thrive, and this is how we plan to do. You can find the plan here.

IAANZ Complaints & Processes

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our complaint process, you may be able to raise your concerns externally. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority’s website provides useful information about the avenues available to you.

IAANZ has a responsibility to ensure that all students can openly express their voices regarding the training that they receive. We actively encourage students to express concerns, report incidents, and share feedback to improve their experiences as students.

Our Complaints Process Policy IP0001 can be found here.

2023 Review

In 2023, IAANZ received two formal complaints from students. One was from an individual student, and one was a joint complaint from two students. The nature of both complaints was related to staff conduct.

The IP0001 policy was followed in each case.

Investigations were conducted to enable decision-making.

The outcome of each case resulted in involved staff taking responsibility, training regarding professional conduct from managers, and the students deciding to close each case thereafter.

Process Review

Due to staff changeover in 2024, IP0001 is overdue its formal review and thus has been extended to October 2024 for review. Informally, it has been identified that there is a need for an anonymous pathway for students to express feedback. As a result, a Mid-Year Student Feedback Survey was conducted in July 2024. Please see the resulting action plan here.
